Robert Levonyan builds things properly.
He's a Senior Android Engineer, an open-source contributor, and a technical writer on ProAndroidDev. At his day job at Marktguru, he works on scalable Android architecture. The way he codes is the way he thinks: structured, deliberate, no shortcuts.
Testy: Test Your Phone was a side project. A clean Android utility - hardware diagnostics, sensor checks, battery and display testing. It did exactly what it said. It had real users and real ratings. Robert built it well, maintained it, and at some point made a straightforward decision: his time and focus belonged elsewhere.
So he looked for a buyer.
Researching the Buyer
Robert doesn't commit to things he hasn't evaluated. Before reaching out to anyone, he did what any careful engineer does - he looked at the available information and made his own call.
"One big concern was whether it was a legitimate operation. But I checked the website and it seemed trustworthy."
He found enough credible signal to proceed: real people, verifiable presence, other developers who had been through the process. He reached out. The conversation started quickly.
That's the right approach to an exit - not blind trust, but enough verified confidence to take the next step.
How the Process Went
From first contact to completed transfer, the deal closed in under three weeks.
"The process was very smooth. All the tools provided for the transfer were very intuitive."
When a developer who contributes to open-source tooling says the transfer stack was intuitive - that's a meaningful assessment. The handoff covered the full technical scope: Play Console transfer, associated accounts, everything that needed to move. Clean, sequenced, no disruption to existing users.
Robert didn't need to chase anyone for updates. The process moved on its own.
What He'd Tell Other Developers
Robert's one suggestion was practical: more payment options for developers in markets where standard transfer rails are limited. It's a real constraint in Armenia and across much of Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
It didn't block this deal. But it's worth flagging for any buyer serious about working with global sellers.

Testy is in new hands. Robert's focus is back on what he does at scale - building, contributing, writing.
He publishes technical content on ProAndroidDev and shares work on Medium.
